Barrie joined Coronado on April 1, 2025, to undertake the position of Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Barrie has responsibility for finance, capital management, treasury, tax and risk management and ensuring that the financial operations of the group support the delivery of business objectives.

Barrie is an experienced global executive who has more than 20 years’ experience in the resources sector, having worked across a range of countries including Australia, South Africa, and Botswana. Barrie will join us from Evolution Mining, a publicly listed Gold and Copper business where he is currently Chief Financial Officer. His prior roles include Vice President – Group Finance at Orica Limited; Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at Lonmin Plc; Chief Financial Officer at Debswana Diamond Company; as well as a range of senior finance roles within Anglo American Platinum.

Barrie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours from the University of Pretoria and is a Chartered Accountant.
