Coronado’s graduate discovery program: Building future mining leaders
Our 24-month graduate discovery program is designed to help graduates kick-start their careers, develop critical skills, and gain hands-on experience in the mining industry. Originally launched at our Curragh complex, the program has now expanded to include our Brisbane office, welcoming six graduates in 2024 across diverse disciplines.
Through structured rotations, mentoring, and real-world projects, graduates gain exposure to multiple departments, collaborate with industry professionals, and actively contribute to a more sustainable future for mining. Each graduate is equipped with a Graduate Passport to guide their learning journey, ensuring they develop both professionally and personally.
Our graduates also participate in a 12 month Mentoring program through the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) who are the peak body and trusted voice for professionals working in the resources sector. The AusIMM Mentoring program connects the graduates with experienced resource professionals across Australia to enhance their career growth and industry knowledge.
By fostering diverse talent and fresh perspectives, Coronado is not only shaping the next generation of mining professionals but also driving innovation and growth across our operations.
