Coronado Global Resources Inc. is proud to confirm an update to its executive leadership team. Mr Philip Peacock will join Coronado as the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), effective Monday 18 August 2025.
As CLO, Philip will oversee all of Coronado’s legal matters and serve as a trusted advisor and key liaison to our Board. He will lead and coordinate the provision of commercially orientated, proactive and pragmatic legal services and provide advice on both the legal and business ramifications of significant strategic imperatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and other corporate and commercial transactions.
Philip has over 20 years of corporate and securities legal experience, primarily in the energy industry, and has served as outside and in-house counsel to both public and private companies. Before joining Coronado, Philip served as Counsel in the Corporate practice group at King & Spalding LLP; as General Counsel of TES US Development, LLC, the U.S. subsidiary of a European-based green hydrogen company; as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Navitas Midstream Partners, LLC, a private equity-backed midstream company, as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; and as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Western Midstream Partners, LP. Prior to joining Western Midstream, Philip was a Partner in the Corporate & Securities group at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP.
Philip has an M.B.A. and an M.A., both from the University of Houston; a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law; and a B.A. from Princeton University.
